Donalsonville and Seminole County hosts numerous festivals and events throughout the year. Most are planned to reflect the season, and all are fun for the entire family.

Harvest Festival – A Cornerstone Event:

Each year during the third (3rd) weekend in October, the Donalsonville/Seminole County Chamber of Commerce sponsors the Harvest Festival, which is designed to celebrate the county’s number one industry, Agriculture. Visitors come from near and far to enjoy a parade, arts & crafts, entertainment, children’s activities, golf cart parade, car show, art show, and good southern cooked food. Activities also include a 5K run and 1 mile fun run with proceeds benefiting breast cancer research. Other events held during the festival week include a Peanut Recipe Contest and the Merchants Decorating Contest. There will also be a girl's softball tournament  called the Harvest Day Classic to be held on October 15 at the Seminole County Recreation Complex. The 2011 festival will mark the 32nd year the festival has been held.

Shellcracker Tournament & Festival:

The Lake Seminole Lions Club hosts the Annual Shellcracker Tournament & Festival the fourth (4th) Saturday in April each year at Spring Creek Park Resort. The festival combines a fishing tournament with kids’ activities, vendors, and entertainment to provide a full day of fun. All proceeds from this event goes to local charities and organizations.

4th of July Celebration

This event, celebrating our independence is held the first (1st) Saturday in July and features food, fun, and entertainment all day and a tremendous fireworks display at dark. The event is held at Seminole State Park, and is sponsored by the Lake Seminole Lions Club.
